OMB Peezy might be Hip Hop’s next breakout star. The Alabama native has released multiple quality cuts under the mentorship of E-40 and signed a deal with 300 Entertainment earlier this year. As his ascent in the rap game begins, the talented MC is giving fans a glimpse at what life is like for an emerging artist by releasing a new documentary.
HipHopDX is proud to premiere Word Of Mouth, a behind-the-scenes look at Peezy’s journey. The documentary features a mix of interviews with the “Lay Down” rapper, studio and concert footage, and sit-downs with those who’ve helped him along the way — including E-40.
“I made the documentary because I wanted people to see me in the present, as I’m learning and building my brand from day one,” he told DX. “I want the fans to take the journey with me as it happens. Getting E-40 to be a part of it was very important because he has been a big part of my career thus far. 40 is one of the main people I learned the music industry from and how to move as a rapper.”
In addition to the short film, Peezy has also announced that he’ll be part of Tee Grizzley’s upcoming Ain’t It A Blessing tour along with Lud Foe and Sada Baby. The shows begin on October 4 in Seattle, Washington then conclude on October 30 in Detroit, Michigan.
