Los Angeles, CA – Murs has made sure the returning Paid Dues Festival is going to be a memorable one. The originally announced lineup was quite impressive, but the Strange Music artist decided to stack the deck with a few more artists. The biggest name of the bunch is Jay Electronica, as revealed by Murs on Thursday (July 20) during an episode of HipHopDX’s #DXLive.
The booking of Jay alone is a feat in and of itself yet Murs managed to bolster the lineup with quite a few talented MCs making waves in the rap game. Westside Gunn, Conway, Nick Grant, Caleborate and Milk 616 round out the new additions to the lineup, which you can hear for yourself in the below clip.

The Paid Dues Festival makes its return after a four-year absence on the weekend of September 16 and 17. The event will not be held at its original location in the Inland Empire but instead move to Los Angeles’ Pershing Square.
Lil Wayne is the headliner for this year’s edition with 2Mex and DJ R-Tistic serving as hosts. Ab-Soul, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, PRhyme, Freddie Gibbs, Nipsey Hussle, Rapsody, The Cool Kids, Mozzy and G. Perico are just some of the acts scheduled to perform over the course of the two-day event.
